Enjoy this beautiful photography of Dunquin Harbour on a cloudy day in October.
I took this photo during a six-day road trip down the Wild Atlantic Way. Three friends of mine and me drove all the way from the sunny South-East to the amazing West Coast. We wanted to explore some of Ireland’s most amazing spots. And we were not disappointed!
The weather during our road trip turned out to be everything we could have asked for: Four days of (mostly) sun in a row – and that in the end of October! A lot of the photos taken during this trip wouldn’t have been possible without the weather being that great. Our faithful rental car took us all the way down from Sligo to Kerry and on our way, brought us across this beautiful spot in on the Dingle Peninsula, County Kerry.
The photography was taken close to Dunqin, a lovely village located at the very end of the Dingle Peninsula. As soon as we turned around the last bend of the Slea Head drive, coming from the South, and faced the amazing Dingle landscape from another perspective, we were left in awe. Steep cliffs and rolling hills covered in the greenest of grass made the views perfect. Occasionally the sun broke through, causing the colours to shine even brighter. We decided to stop close to Dunquin and walk a few metres down to the harbour just to find the amazing view captured in this photography.
I hope that this photography gives you as much peace and relaxation as it does give me. The strong colours and the gloomy atmosphere make this photo a joy to look at. Get this photo as a print out now and enjoy it in the comfort of your home or office!
