Enjoy this beautiful landscape photography of Killary Fjord on a sunny day in October.
I took this photo during a six-day road trip down the Wild Atlantic Way. Three friends of mine and me drove all the way from the sunny South-East to the amazing West Coast. We wanted to explore some of Ireland’s most amazing spots. And we were not disappointed!
The weather during our road trip turned out to be everything we could have asked for: Four days of sun in a row – and that in the end of October! A lot of the photos taken during this trip wouldn’t have been possible without the weather being that great. Our faithful rental car took us all the way down from Sligo to Kerry and on our way, brought us across this beautiful spot in county Galway.
The landscape photography was taken close to Leenaun, a lovely village located at the very end of Killary Fjord. As soon as we turned around the last bend coming from the North, and faced the entire Fjord from another perspective, we were left in awe. The clear blue sky with the occasional cloud, was mirrored perfectly on the calm Fjord beyond it. So we started searching for the next available parking space that provided a good view. A few more metres down the road we found the perfect spot and stopped to take the beautiful photo that you can see here now.
I hope that this landscape photograph gives you as much peace and relaxation as it does give me. The vibrant colours and the nearly perfect mirroring in the water make this photo a joy to look at. Download this photo now and enjoy in high resolution!
